Life Is Beautiful: Abraham Joshua Heschel

…get up in the morning and look at the world in a way that takes nothing for granted. Everything is phenomenal; everything is incredible…

Abraham Joshua Heschel

I could talk about how we need to wake up every morning with rays of sunshine shooting out of a place sunshine does not shine. Maybe you would feel inspired and wake up tomorrow morning feeling those rays. Maybe a few days later you’ll wake up and go right back to where you were before.

When you struggle with depression a lot of mornings, afternoons, nights feel hard to look at the world and see it as incredible.

You start to take everything for granted and forget to find anything phenomenal in the bad. All you can focus on is the overwhelimg weight.

My challenge for this week is to find the phenomenal and the incredible in the bad.

I think sometimes we look at things very black and white. When in reality we should be looking at them in shades of grey.

I do think somethings are purely bad. But I think a lot of what we perceive as bad is us looking at it through a narrow scope.

I see people easily get upset over small things. Recently I have been hearing from different avenues that the things we precieve as curses could actually be blessings we just cannot see it yet.

If you are struggling with something today. Maybe you got bad news, got your heartbroken, or had someone else really mess your day up try to take a step back and know that in this moment it might not have been about you getting everything but about prepareing you for what you are going to recieve.

Next time you feel that it is all bad take a deep breath and realize that you are not seeing the bigger picture yet. Trust in Gods timing.

Feel good. Pass it on.
