Escapes: Everything You Are-Travel Morning

Week five. Imagine you have awoken in a city that is not your own. The city outside is bursting with sounds and smells unfamiliar to you. But excite you to explore. A whole new world. Some place ancient, yet new. Holds mystery to be uncovered. How do you feel?

Each of our meditation journeys will be different. So don’t worry if your travel morning takes on something different or is set in a different time (period, day).

I was wondering around a place that cars where not needed and everyone was taking it easy. Covid was not a problem and the air felt clean and my was body light.

I felt ready for way was coming next. The adventures to be had. This place was new to me but ancient in the grand scheme of things. Plenty have walked these same paths before me, plenty are walking beside me, and plenty will walk after me. I can feel them guiding me along the way, telling me to keep exploring. It is going to be okay. No matter what happens.

Hope courses through me for the adventures on the horizon but wisdom reminds me that sometimes things can get bad. I had a lot of anxiety. Not sure if I was picking up and absorbing someone else’s or if it was mine but I asked for peace for me and that person.

Hope is a funny thing, it’s very fleeting. Everything is lost and gone in a second. But then a small thing can sneak up and change your perspective.

Travel is a new way to get a new perspective on our world, self, and situation. Maybe try and close your eyes sometime and travel in meditation. Get out of your box. Travel and reinvent yourself for the better. Learn something new, see something from a different perspective, see it from someone else’s situation, learn to stop seeing the world from your eyes.

Things are small, fleeting, and they come back around. Good days happen, bad days happen. Nothing is so special that it only happens once, and no one is so special that they have the worst life. Travel in your own city, travel in your head, travel to grow-learn-love-experience-hope.
